Yesterday we rode from Warren to this trailhead so today we started here and rode 26 miles to Ashtabula hoping to have lunch in Ashtabula. It seems Ashtabula closes up shop on Sundays so no lunch there. On the way back we side tracked in Rockwood and had a bacon sub at Capp's Pizza, very little tomato and some lettuce.
The trail was wonderful, however, well maintained and actually scenic. Check out the next photo up. There was a creek and a bridge!!!
We did get caught in some rain, but fortunately right at the one and only pavilion on the trail where we were able to hang out with 4 other riders for 20 minutes. It's always fun to talk to other riders. Good suggestions for other trails and we always seem to find something in common besides biking.
We rode 50 miles today and then drove 45 minutes from Orwell through Amish country to get to Cleveland. We had a wonderful dinner at my brother's beautifully renovated condo on Lake Erie. So nice to see everyone, my sister-in-law, Barbara, my brother, Bob, his son, Bob, daughter in law Elena and Grandson, Jack. That would be the top photo. See reverse order. Oh and the second photo down says "Welcome to Ashtabula, Home of Many Fishes". We didn't ride far enough to see Lake Erie from Ashtabula. Dennis was getting antsy about the time.
All in all another great day!!!
