You can tell it was a dull day on the trail.  This was the first picture I took.  I think it's a maple stump.  I would love to have it but too hard to transport by bike.

This rock is what's left of a limestone bluff.  Everything around it eroded away.  But the significance of the rock has to do with the 1903 flood of the Missouri River which is 3/4 mile away.  The water level was up about half way on the rock.  It's unbelievable how much water it took to reach that far.  Now I think they must have some way of dealing with floods.

This is a barge on the Missouri.

This is the "lobby" of the place where we're staying tonight.  The "HarborHaus" in Hermann, Missouri.  Every room is different and you get whichever room was next when you checked in.  We got this tiny room filled by a queen size bed.  There is a desk but it's under the hangers which we assume is the closet.  The bed is so high I need a step to get in and I have to jump to the floor getting out of it.

This is the view from the Stone Hill Winery where we had a tour of the cellars and a tasting.  This was at 4:00 after we had ridden 48 miles and before dinner.  The group kept getting louder and louder.

The tasting.  We tried 6 different wines including one sherry which was 18 proof.  Dennis bought 2 bottles of something and we got our really nice wine glasses all of which will stay on the sag bus until we get back.  Pretty good deal.

Couldn't resist.

After the wine tasting a group of us walked into town for dinner at a local brewery which was very good and we were able to sit outside in the patio area.

An altogether great day.  Breakfast isn't until 8:00 tomorrow so we can sleep in.  Well Dennis won't.  He plans to walk down to a coffee shop for coffee at 6 when they open.  I think 3 or 4 other people plan to join him.
